In 2016, during the O'Brien Clan Foundation's Annual Pilgrimage to Ireland, members presented a check for €3,450 (approximately $4,000) to the Trinity Access Program (TAP), a program that works in partnership with students, teachers, families, communities and businesses to widen access and participation at university level of under-represented groups at Trinity College, Dublin.
Pictured is Eileen Punch of Trinity College (left) with TAP scholarship recipient Claire O'Kane (right). This year, Trinity College welcomed a new cohort of TAP students and awarded 45 scholarships to talented students like Claire, who will now receive financial support for the duration of their studies. This support makes such a difference to their students, helping them to overcome obstacles and achieve their educational goals. The program is very grateful for the commitment of the O'Brien Clan which enables it to continue providing transformative opportunities for TAP students in Trinity.
