O'Brien Clan Foundation​

The O'Brien Clan Foundation was founded by Sir Conor Myles O'Brien, "The O'Brien", Prince of Thomond, Chief of the Name, The 18th Baron Inchiquin, in 1998.  It is a US based, 501(c)3 charitable organization governed by a Board of Directors.

Bart O'Brien (Chairman)
Barton O’Brien graduated from the University of Florida, B.S.B.A (honors), and then earned a Masters of Science in Industrial Administration at Carnegie Mellon Graduate School of Industrial Administration. He was a co-founder of two successful software companies which reached $2 billion in market capitalization and has served as an executive for several other firms. Bart and his wife Barb now own O’Brien Estate, a 40-acre vineyard and top-rated winery in Napa Valley, California. As well as chairing the OCF Board, Bart is on the Board of Directors of BioIncept, a biotechnology company that has developed a highly effective treatment for immune disorders.

Conor O'Brien
Conor is The O’Brien, Prince of Thomond, Chief of the Name, 18th Baron Inchiquin and 10th Baronet of Leamaneh. He born in Surrey, England in 1943 and is the son of the youngest son of the 15th Baron Inchiquin. Conor became Chief and Peer of the O’Brien Clan in 1982 after the death of his uncle Phaedrig, the 17th Baron. He lives on Dromoland Estate in Thomond House, next to Dromoland Castle. He was educated in England at Eton College and served in the British Army, 14th/20th King’s Hussars from 1962 to 1975. He then spent 10 years working in the Far East, Hong Kong and Singapore before returning to live in Ireland in 1982. Conor was responsible for the first O’Brien Clan gathering for 400 years in 1992 and the formation of the OCF in 1998.

John O'Brien
John O'Brien is the Senior Director of Real Estate & Site Services at technology company NVIDIA Corp. in Santa Clara, California, where he oversees all operational management for the company's 1.5-million-square-foot campus. With a 27-year tenure in the industrial real estate business, John has conducted the acquisition due diligence for more than 1 million square feet of multi-tenant industrial property, personally managed over 600,000 square feet of industrial, office and retail space, and has been responsible for the development of more than 2 million square feet of industrial, R&D and office product. O'Brien earned his B.S. degree from the University of California, Irvine and a M.A. degree in Business from Webster University in St. Louis. He retired from the U.S. Marine Corps in 2009 as a Lieutenant Colonel.

Michael O'Brien
Michael O’Brien is a 2nd generation Irish-American and holds dual citizenship with the U.S. and Ireland. His maternal grandparents both emigrated from County Cork and his paternal grandparents both emigrated from Waterford. Michael works at Palm Bay International, a provider and distributor of imported wine and spirits, as General Counsel. Michael began his law career in 1996 and has extensive experience in beverage alcohol law, corporate governance and state compliance issues. He was educated at Villanova University, Trinity College Dublin and Quinnipiac Law School. Michael is a member of the New York and New Jersey Bar Associations, a member of the National Alcoholic Beverage Control Association and serves on the Board for the National Association of Beverage Importers.

Miles O'Brien
Miles O'Brien is an independent broadcast news journalist specializing in science, technology and aerospace. Born in Detroit, Michigan, O’Brien attended Georgetown University. He worked as a reporter and anchor at several TV stations across the U.S. before joining CNN in 1992. Miles left the network in 2008 but remains associated as an independent aviation analyst. After leaving CNN, O’Brien formed Miles O’Brien Productions, LLC. He creates stories for numerous outlets including PBS, Discovery Science, National Science Foundation and Spaceflightnow.com. Miles is a third-generation general aviation pilot with over 2,000 hours pilot-in-command time. He has served and continues to serve a number of organizations related to aviation, space, broadcasting and amputees.

Moira O'Brien
Moira O'Brien is a chartered accountant with over 40 years of experience in business, as a professional accountant and lately as a professional photographer, film maker, broadcaster and toastmaster. She became involved in radio broadcasting in 1995, sponsoring a charity radio station in London. Moira was a founder member of Cork City Community Radio in 2009 and was a director of the station for three years from 2010-2012. She founded Irish Radio International in 2013 and was station manager until early 2016. Moira also runs a small bed & breakfast business in County Cork.

Patrick O'Brien
Patrick O’Brien is President of O’Brien International, Inc., which provides association management and marketing services to clients in the construction industry. He has served as Executive Director of the Concrete Sawing & Drilling Association since 1992. Pat is also President of Aqua Blue Meetings, LLC, which provides meeting planning services to corporate and association clients. He received his BS in Engineering from Ohio State University and an MS from the University of Southern California. Prior to forming his own company in 1992, Pat was sales manager for GE Superabrasives and a project manager at the U.S. Naval Air Test Center in Patuxent River, Maryland, where he directed the test and evaluation of Navy jet aircraft. He resides in St. Petersburg, Florida.

Articles of Incorporation (AOI)

The O'Brien Clan Foundation is a non-profit, humanitarian organization that promotes and preserves the culterage  heritage of O'Briens including:

A. The provision of funds to educational institutions for the benefit of O'Briens.
B. The support of Irish Arts.
C. The support of the education of Irish genealogy, history, and culture.
D. The promotion of peace on the island of Ireland through better understanding among all Irish men and women worldwide.
